Coronation Drive
Federal Street, Culcairn, 2660
This gorgeous avenue of trees, planted to celebrate the occasion of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, by young Culcairn locals in 1953, exists within the Culcairn Recreation Grounds and creates a beautiful walking track filled with history and community.
Trees were planted on Coronation Day by children and family groups who lived in and around the Culcairn District. The planting commenced in the early evening, with the last tree being planted by the Culcairn Shire President, Mr Alister Ross who then unveiled a plaque marking the opening of Coronation Drive.
Enjoy a beautiful walk, ride or run around Coronation Drive. Remember the significance of the location while enjoying the other facilities located right next to it such as tennis and netball courts, football oval and cricket nets.
